With the release of the new Demon Hunters, I've been working on a couple Radical Sect Inquisitors. The first, Germanicus I wasn't happy with the sword in the end so I've built another and am currently working on him alongside other projects. impetro is a redo of a mini I did 3 years ago which you can see over in the Emperors Saints gallery.

July 26, 2004. A set of Servo Skulls. Unfortunately the lamps have really washed out the bone scheme on these so there are 2 sets of pictures here, those with my usual light set up and then those with just an overhead lamp.

August 20, 2004. Four Cherubs. I never liked the "happy-cupid" way that GW paints their Cherubs. They certainly don't seem that way to me. So I used Elf flesh mixed with Rotting Flesh as a base and built up thru a 2 parts Rotting Flesh/1 part Skull White mix to give the skin a pallid and sickly look. I also used ink washes around the "ports" in their bodies to make the flesh look bruised and stained. Hopefully this further ads to the "not-happy-cupid" look I was going for.

September 8, 2004. A sage henchman. Skin was done the same as the Cherubs but obviously didn't turn out as good. I didn't want to do metallics or NMM on this guy so I gave the bionics an "armored" look, similar to how I have done Space Wolf armor recently.

February 14, 2005. A WitchHunter Acolyte this time around. I wanted to keep this fairly dark and used the flame thrower troops from the latest Castle Wolfenstein as inspiration for the coat on this. I did the main body of the coat as a Charcoal black and then left the gloves, throat guard and 'armor' flaps a more glossed black. And yes I did the fire colors backwards....the things you realize as you are getting ready to spray dull coat. :S

February 24, 2005. A WitchHunter Dialgous is the latest Inquisition mini to join the fray. Not entirely thrilled with the facial sculpt on this one and if I had more time next time I might try and swap in a SoB head that looks a little better. Otherwise a quick to paint mini. Doing the scrolls was a bit of chore but I think they came out decent.

March 6, 2005. Given the multiple uses of this mini, =][= Henchman, Necromunda Character, Messenger for tourney games, etc. I decided to include it in the Inquisition Forces gallery.

March 15, 2005. A DemonHunter Acolyte this time around. Not entirely happy with a few things on this guy, such as the nose of the plasma pistol. Overall though I think I made some strides in doing Caucasian flesh, which still eludes me on a regular basis.
