The new Space Wolf Rune Priest mini. I have 3 more of these to paint up so more pics will be along in the next few weeks. I did this first one up to be part of the 13th Company Wulfen. I tried something a bit different on the armor. Starting with Vallejo Neutral Grey I then used GW Codex Grey, Apple Barrel Pewter Grey and then Pewter Grey mixed with GW Fortress Grey for the last color. It didn't come out quite the way I had wanted but I'll correct what I think is wrong on the next one. I'm still having issues doing eyes, but as you can see I've finally managed a half-way-decent Caucasian face for once.

February 3, 2004. I only painted this miniature. I did not convert/assemble it. The flashing on the decal has since been fixed after these pictures were taken.

July 15, 2004. A converted Rune Priest. Intially painted this one with a more Codex-Fortress Grey armor scheme and didn't really like it, so I threw it the dip. After cleaning it off I decided the arms had to change from the original (as you can see in the Wolf Priest at the top of the page) and so I added a Storm Bolter and Coteaz' "giant canary" arm (Choose of the Slain for this guy). There is some battle damage on the should pad where I nicked the metal and then again on the bird arm where a weak spot in the casting crumbled out while I was creating a pin hole (damnit). 7 layers of color in the armor counting the final highlight. Snow was done using Calci-Sand for Terrarriums (glows in the dark even!)
